Cassidy Kruse and JJ in Omaha

Cassidy Kruse turned 20 and turned a lot of heads in Omaha’s CenturyLInk Center last weekend by winning the barrel racing competition at the Justin Boots Championships. The Gillette, WY native and her horse JJ scorched for previous September wins at the Justin Boots Playoffs in Puyallup, Washington and at the New Mexico State Fair Rodeo in Albuquerque.

Kruse completed the regular season reaching #8 in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world standings earning more than $81,000 in 2015. She spoke with us after her two Omaha runs:
