Early Sunday morning, 32 Miss Rodeo America Contestants checked in at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV. The 32 young women moved in and carted their pageant wardrobes to their respected rooms as they sported their own original Wrangler Western denim skirt outfit. Each contestant had the opportunity to create their own unique look as they decorated their sponsored Wrangler button denim skirt outfit and Justin Boots with embellishments featuring fringe, bling, and color.

The contestants checked in bright and early this morning and each were pinned and provided with their state banner from Miss Rodeo America 2016, Katherine Merck. This event was not open to the public, but provided a chance for the contestants to share a special moment.

After their official check in and orientation the contestants entered into their first Q &A session! Each contestant answered an on stage current event question. The questions highlighted the trending Presidential Election, and featured topics including the electoral college, polling, and mail in ballots, just to name a few! The contestants are judged not only on their knowledge but how they articulate their answers as well. The event was presented by Greeley Hat Works.

The contestants introduced themselves on stage and then modeled their Wrangler skirt outfits and Justin boots that they decorated and personalized. Wrangler Representatives; Korie Gordan Lovette and Pam Baker judged the the outfits this evening.

Miss Rodeo Oklahoma, Sydney Spencer was chosen by the Wrangler Duo for best outfit! Sydney’s skirt was red, adorned with long black fringe.

The contestants finished off their evening with Fashion Show Rehearsal and will wake up tomorrow for Horsemanship!
