Fashion, Beauty and Bulls: Winter Wonderland in NYC

By Ashley Michaelsen of FashionBeautyBulls.com, PBR and Monster Energy model

Kicking off the PBR season in NYC is always one of my highlights of the tour. Being a New Yorker, I especially appreciate bringing the PBR world to my home state. The contrast of bucking bulls in NYC always shocks the people of NYC and I look forward to seeing their expressions. This 3 day weekend was extra special as my mom, dad, and cousin Hannah were able to attend the PBR and see me in action for the very first time. And as an extra treat, they got to experience it in the Madison Square Garden! Vogue magazine was also at the event covering some PBR fashion. It was so awesome to see both of my worlds come together, which really enforced my reasonings for launching this blog.

To recap the bull riding wins and highlights:

Mason Lowe and Jason Lockwood split 1st round Friday. Follwed by Fabiano Vieira who won Round 2 on Saturday. Marco Eguchi finished out the weekend on Sunday by winning the 3rd round. The incredibly talented Ryan Dirteater won the Championship and Jess Lockwood pulled through and took the win for the event! This was so exciting to witness and definitely a great kick off to the PBR season!

In the evenings, we cozied up at the beautiful Plaza Hotel. I absolutely adore the spacious elegant feel of this hotel, it is truly a magical experience. While we were staying there, a blizzard hit NYC, turning the outside of the hotel into a winter wonderland. Here I am strolling around trying to keep warm in my Wrangler Sheen Skinny Pant and Express suede jacket, paired with my favorite black Ariat boots.

My YSL bag recently took an adventure of it’s own after I lost it on a trip to NYC a few weeks prior. Somehow this little baby wound up found in the Hudson Hotel, much to my relief. Thanks to their honesty and amazing Lost and Found program, I was reunited with my YSL on this trip, at last!

These sunglasses are an automatic go to, whenever I go flying out the door, I have to have my Raybans on my head. No matter the weather, I can’t stand sun in my eyes! These Raybans have great lenses that help protect my eyes from harsh UV rays and as a plus they literally go with everything.

Seriously OBSESSED with this bracelet, I picked it up from the Cowboy Christmas show this past December in Vegas from Caracal Brand. This beauty is a must have for my wardrobe more times than not I am rocking black and gold jewelry, so this was a MUST have.
