February Fun in Florida

By Wrangler Network contributor Miss Rodeo America Katherine Merck

Arriving in Kissimmee for the Silver Spurs Rodeo, I was looking forward to the sunshine – a big change from the winter weather that I left behind in my hometown of Spokane, Washington. I spent the next week with thirty-four other rodeo representatives – from Little Miss Silver Spurs Rodeo to Miss Rodeo Canada – teaching elementary school students about rodeo events, visiting sponsors, and appearing in the grand entry.

Our Florida fun included more than enjoying the beautiful Sunshine State weather on Cocoa Beach – we conquered our fears doing trust exercises and zip lining at Lake X, encountered alligators in the everglades with Boggy Creek Airboat Rides, and so much more. Thank you to everyone who made all the fun in Florida possible. I can’t wait to come back for the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo in April – check out my video for why you should join me in Florida to Experience Kissimmee!
