Meet Laura Veltz, Featured “Acme Unplugged” Songwriter

Laura Veltz

Originally from New York City, Laura Veltz was born into a family of musicians, The Veltz family band, later known as Cecilia, that toured across the United States and eventually signed to Atlantic Records. In 2010, Laura was lured to Music City by Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame inductees Kye Fleming and Mark D. Sanders. With publishing team BJ Hill of Warner Chappell and Mike Molinar of Big Machine Music, Laura quickly found success and achieved two chart topping songs “Drunk Last Night” recorded by Eli Young Band and “Lonely Eyes” recorded by Chris Young. Her songs have also been cut by such artists as Jake Owen, Jana Kramer, RaeLynn, Kelleigh Bannon, Dean Alexander, Eden’s Edge and several songs on the anticipated debut album by Columbia Nashville artist, Maren Morris.
