O’Connell Sharpens Iron

Shane and Tim O’Connell aren’t related but they are bareback riding brothers in pro rodeo. Tim is the reigning world champion of what is considered the sport’s most physically demanding event and Shane’s stock is on the rise. He won the 96th annual Greeley Stampede on Monday night scoring 89 points to tie an arena record.

The Rapid City, South Dakota 21-year-old was happy to display his first pro buckle after a picture perfect turn in front of an appreciative northern Colorado crowd:
