Searching for Morel Mushrooms

All over the eastern United States people everywhere are searching for the delicious Morel Mushroom. Also known as hickory chickens or dry land fish in certain parts, these wonderful tasting fungus provides a great side dish to any meal. Some of the best places to find Morel Mushrooms are underneath poplar trees. Also, check out moist shady north side areas beside hickory, sycamore and apple trees. Plan your first outdoor search with an experienced hunter and learn the proper identification before eating anything. Happy hunting!
