WYO Steer Gets Tilted & Whirled

Wyoming steer wrestler Seth Brockman isn’t likely to win any money for it but his first-round steer at the Sheridan WYO Rodeo this week got a spin worthy of the thrill rides at the county fair behind the big arena grandstands. Brockman doesn’t really remember much about the 5.5 second effort other than he’d rather not land like that again. He sustained a bruised heel that “hurt like heck.”

The Wheatland, Wyoming bulldogger heads to Canada for the finals at the Calgary Stampede on Sunday. He was the top money winner in the preliminary rounds of his event in Calgary earning $15,500 so far.

The steers at Sheridan are fairly fresh and had only been out for a few team roping runs. Here is the way one was welcomed to the world of bulldogging by Brockman in WYO Rodeo Wednesday morning slack:
