Jim Sharp makes NFR history by becoming the first bull rider to ride all 10 bulls. He sets the NFR record for the aggregate (771 points on 10 head), en route to his first world title.


Western action film Young Guns features Emilo Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Charlie sheen and others. The film is a retelling of the adventures of “Billy the Kid” during the 1877-78 Lincoln County War in New Mexico.
