MELISSA MCMULLAN
MISS RODEO VIRGINIA
OLD DOMINION STATE

Melissa McMullan (Virginia)

Fort Valley, Virginia is where Melissa McMullan calls home. She graduated from Radford University majoring in Communications where she has learned many skills that will benefit her in the future. She hopes to work for a non-profit organization related to horses, to help better her community and the public.

Melissa loves barrel racing and attends as many rodeos and jackpots as possible. She also enjoys helping out in the bull pens and has been known to get on one. She has volunteered repeatedly at wounded veteran trail rides, traveled to Guatemala to work at an understaffed Orphanage and also traveled to Kaduna, Nigeria to volunteer with their youth program.

“As a PR professional and a huge fan and competitor in Rodeo, I know that I would fulfill the duties of Miss Rodeo America fully and beyond. My love for the American Quarter Horse and my adoration of involving others in the sport of Rodeo will drive me to success. I feel that it is my responsibility and desire to promote information to the best interests of Rodeo. I will be deliberate, strategic and unrelenting in my effort to form and maintain awareness and relationship between the sport of Rodeo and its contestants, spectators, and sponsors. I enjoy being a part of Rodeo and being able to represent my Commonwealth of Virginia in the sport of Rodeo and would love the chance to represent our beautiful nation!”
