Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Kicks Off on Thursday

The Wrangler NFR is the richest and most prestigious rodeo in the world.

· Tie-Down Roping

WHEN: Thursday, December 1 thru Saturday, December 10
All performances begin at 6:45 pm (PT)

· Since 1985, the National Finals Rodeo has provided a huge boost to Las Vegas in December. This year, the Wrangler NFR will kick off on Dec. 1 and run for ten consecutive days. The top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding qualify to compete at the Wrangler NFR.

· In 2015, the event had a total attendance of 170,966 over the 10 days of competition. The Wrangler NFR has sold out 300 consecutive performances. Under the new contract with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association that runs through 2024, the purse in 2016 remains at $10 million.
