2017 Calgary Stampede Canvas Auction to take Place Thursday

Calgary – The 2017 Calgary Stampede Canvas Auction, presented by GMC, is set to take place this Thursday, March 23, in the Boyce Theatre at Stampede Park. We invite you to join us for this exciting, annual event to gather interviews and visuals through the evening, as well as broadcast live.

The Canvas Auction offers advertisers the opportunity to team up with one of 36 talented chuckwagon drivers for the Stampede’s annual GMC Rangeland Derby. Successful bidders are able to offer clients, employees, family and friends a unique behind-the-scenes experience at the Calgary Stampede, while also gaining extensive exposure. In turn, the auction proceeds support the drivers in caring for their horses throughout the entire racing season, and allow them to carry on the long-standing western tradition of chuckwagon racing.

Please note: you will need a wrist band to enter the Boyce Theatre for the auction. Please coordinate in advance with Kristina Barnes kbarnes@calgarystampede.com to arrange entrance, as well as request any assistance you may require with technical requirements and on-site interviews.
