Reno Rodeo Day Three Results

RENO, Nev., – Father’s Day Sunday at the Reno Rodeo wasn’t one to forget with daytime events including Kids Day and the Special Kids’ Rodeo and a heartwarming presentation during the NV Energy “Power of Good” Night when the Reno Rodeo Foundation awarded two worthy families with $20,000 each as part of the Reno Rodeo Wish program.

The PRCA action continued with an outstanding performance by Reno area local Wyatt Denny of Minden, Nev. Denny scored an 84.5 tonight on Flying 5 Rodeo’s Something Cool. This year he won the Springville (Calif.) Sierra Rodeo and was co-champion at the Lakeside (Calif.) Rodeo. Denny says that the Reno Rodeo is his favorite rodeo, it is only 35 miles from his family’s ranch.

Jacobs Crawley of Boerne, TX won tonight’s saddle bronc with an 83 on Rosser Rodeo’s Against All Odds. Crawley is currently ranked first in the world standings. The last couple of years Crawley has proven himself placing second in the 2016 world standings. So far in 2017 Crawley has won seven rodeos across the United States.

A new arena record was set tonight by Sydni Blanchard of Albuquerque, NM with a 16.99 in WPRA Barrel Racing. The former Rookie of the Year beat Jane Melby’s previous arena record of 17.16 set on Friday night.
