Academy of Country Music® Announces Lauren Alaina and Jon Pardi as Hosts for the 12th Annual ACM Honors™ on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Nashville’s Historic Ryman Auditorium

Open-to-the-public music event to recognize special honorees from the 53rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards™

Encino, CA (June 12, 2018) – Today, the Academy of Country Music® is announcing that country music stars Lauren Alaina and Jon Pardi will host the 12th ANNUAL ACM HONORS™, an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 53rd ACM Awards. ACM Honors will take place on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Additional performers and participants will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at Ticketmaster.com and the Ryman box office at 10:00 AM CST on Friday, June 15, 2018.

As previously announced, Special Award recipients to be celebrated at the 12th Annual ACM Honors include Dierks Bentley (ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award), Matraca Berg (ACM Poet’s Award), Sam Hunt (ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award), Alan Jackson (ACM Cliffie Stone Icon Award), Darius Rucker (ACM Gary Haber Lifting Lives Award), Mickey & Chris Christensen and Eddie Miller (ACM Mae Boren Axton Service Award, all awarded posthumously), Rob Potts (ACM Jim Reeves International Award, awarded posthumously), and Norro Wilson (ACM Poet’s Award, awarded posthumously). The evening will also honor winners of the Industry and Studio Recording Awards, along with Songwriter of the Year Award winner, Rhett Akins.

First-time ACM Honors co-hosts Alaina and Pardi, are two of country’s brightest new stars, blending a healthy respect for the history of country music with a modern sensibility. Alaina is the reigning ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year. The title track to her album The Road Less Traveled brought her first No. 1 hit last spring and she joined Kane Brown on the evocative, multi-platinum hit single, “What Ifs,” which topped multiple country charts in October. This summer, Alaina is out on the road with Jason Aldean’s High Noon Neon tour.

Pardi earned a radiant response California Sunrise, his Platinum-selling ACM Award-nominated album that produced three consecutive #1 singles and echoes the music of his musical heroes. His hit song “Dirt on My Boots” dominated playlists in 2017, and along with “Heartache on the Dance Floor,” and “Head Over Boots,” topped the airplay charts.

A native of Northern California, Pardi is the reigning CMA New Artist of the Year and has earned numerous nominations from CMA, AMA, CMT, in addition to winning ACM New Male Vocalist in 2016. He is currently on Luke Bryan’s What Makes You Country tour.

The Academy of Country Music Special Awards are voted on by the ACM Board of Directors for specific achievements. Industry Awards are voted on by all professional members of the Academy. The Studio Recording Awards are voted on by professional members of the Academy classified in the artist-entertainer/musician-bandleader-instrumentalist categories and the producer-engineer-studio manager sub-category.

ACM PROFESSIONAL MEMBER TICKET PRE-SALE: ACM Professional Members can purchase tickets in a special pre-sale beginning at 10:00 AM CST tomorrow Wednesday, June 13, 2018 by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. The pre-sale code will be emailed to all Professional Members prior to the on-sale date.
