ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC ANNOUNCES 2014 CONTRIBUTION TO ACM LIFTING LIVES ON BEHALF OF ARTISTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN “ACM PRESENTS: AN ALL-STAR SALUTE TO THE TROOPS” SPECIAL
Encino, CA (August 27, 2014) – The Academy of Country Music recently announced a $650,000 contribution to ACM Lifting Lives, made on behalf of the artists who participated in the taping of “ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops” in Las Vegas in April. Ticket proceeds from the taping went to ACM Lifting Lives®.
Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan, Merle Haggard, Hunter Hayes, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Craig Morgan, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Eli Young Band, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry all paid tribute to our country’s remarkable all-volunteer military force. The two-hour special was co-hostedby LL COOL J and Chris O’Donnell and aired on CBS in May.
