All New Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Mobile App Set to Debut December 2
Free app to provide interactive maps, social media engagement, schedules and much more
Las Vegas Events announced today that it has launched the new mobile application for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Rodeo fans will now be able to fully plan for the Wrangler NFR, which runs from Dec. 3 – 12 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
New features in 2015 include push notifications and an enhanced calendar function that allows rodeo fans to customize their schedules.
The NFR 2015 Mobile Application is free and available on all platforms. iPhone users can search for NFR 2015 on the iPhone App Store. Droid users can search for NFR in the Google Play Store.
Wrangler NFR fans, whether in Las Vegas for the rodeo or simply following the action from home, will be able to download the application for free. The NFR 2015 App will include the following features:
Schedule – Provides a complete list of performance times, NFR 9-5, NFR After Dark and satellite viewing locations and allows fans to add events directly to their smart phone calendar;
Cowboy Christmas – Contains info about the official gift show of the Wrangler NFR and a full list of vendors, including booth number. This area also details the interactive elements that can be found, including the live stage, competitive rodeo arena events, interactive displays and the NFR Social Arena presented by YETI Coolers;
Community – Connect with fans and friends via social media, follow the NFR contestants and stay up-to-date on the Wrangler NFR;
Map – Fans can plan their activities through an interactive map of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown, plus links to outlying areas;
Shuttle – Find the complimentary shuttle bus schedule that services eight hotel properties with the Cowboy Christmas Express during the day and 24 hotel properties each evening with the NFR Express, as well as FAQs;
Live Stats – Follow all of the action with live stats during the ten days of competition;
Photos/Video – The Wrangler NFR comes to life with daily photo and video galleries;
NFR Online Ticket Exchange – Search and purchase for Wrangler NFR tickets at the safe, secure and authentic ticket exchange;
Wrangler – Connect to Wrangler social media outlets.
Sold out for 290 consecutive performances, the Wrangler NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. Under the new contract with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association that runs through 2024, the purse in 2015 will jump to $10 million. Qualification is based on the 2015 PRCA World Standings.
