Rubens Barbosa won Round 2 en route to capturing the event title at the Memorial Day Weekend Bull Fest.

SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. – Snapping a 12-out buckoff streak, veteran Brazilian Rubens Barbosa (Iaciara, Brazil) used a Round 2 win on Saturday night inside the Michiana Event Center to come from behind and capture the victory at the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Memorial Day Weekend Bull Fest in Shipshewana, Indiana.

Part of the Touring Pro Division (TPD), the event victory earned the 34-year-old a paycheck for $10,000, in addition to 60 world points.

While Barbosa was unable to make the 8 on Mama’s Bad Pet (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) in Round 1, he scored the event’s top marks in Round 2 when he covered Little Johnny (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) for 85.5 points.

Marcus Mast (Yoder, Kansas) rode to the best finish of his career at the two-day event, finishing second after he rode Midnight Mud (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) for 85 points in Round 2.

For the effort, the Midwesterner earned $2,547.58 and 30 world points.

Amidst the final season of his more than 15-year career, Sean Willingham (Summerville, Georgia), who is set to retire at the end of the 2017 season, finished third.

The 37-year-old earned his tenth Top-10 finish of the season across all levels of PBR competition, after he became just the second rider to conquer Mama’s Bad Pet, marked 84.5 points in Round 2.

While his performance in Indiana netted him $1,610.54 and 20 world points, Willingham also earned a $5,000 bonus as the top performing rider that entered both the Memorial Day Weekend Bull Fest and last weekend’s Fairfield Auto Group Invitational, where he tied for third.

Fourth place was split by three riders, Clayton JacobWyatt Gregg (Belle Fourche, South Dakota) and Coleman Rude who all recorded 83.5-point scores.

Heading into Round 2, Jacob and Gregg shared the event lead after the covered Down Draft (C Check Bucking Bulls) and Wink (Cornwell Bucking Bulls), respectively, in Round 1. Rude’s matching marks came in Round 2 when be conquered Johnny Cash (Cornwell Bucking Bulls).
