Bareback Riding Leaderboard Packed at RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (April 6, 2017) – The first performance of the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo saw a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard in the bareback riding.

Wyatt Bloom, R.C. Landingham and Frank Morton each scored 82 points. Bloom, from Bend, Oregon, is representing the Columbia River Circuit. He rode a horse from Barnes PRCA Rodeo named Hard Luck. The California Circuit’s R.C. Landingham, from Hat Creek, California, rode Morton comes from Wright, Kansas, in the Prairie Circuit and rode Brookman Rodeo’s Hard Luck.

The first round here will be complete at the second performance Friday night. All three of these men are in good position to get a paycheck. They have their second round of competition again on Saturday night. There are 26 bareback riders competing here. Their scores will be added together and the 8 with the highest total will advance to Sunday’s finals.

At stake are national championships and $1 million in cash and prizes. For the first time, the money that is earned at the RNCFR counts in the world standings for the sanctioning organizations, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association.
