Big Week Kick Off Concert Lineup is Complete
Second Kid Rock Opening Act Announced
SALINAS, CA, June 12, 2017 – The lineup for the Big Week Kick Off Concert is now complete. Amanda Watkins, a talented up-and-coming country music artist, will play on Friday July 14th before A Thousand Horses takes the stage, warming the crowd up for the headliner, Kid Rock. Gates will open at 5pm, Amanda will play at 7pm and A Thousand Horses will go on at 8pm. Kid Rock, presented by Taylor Farms, will start playing at approximately 9:30pm. Tickets are still available; prices are $20 for Upper Grandstand, $35 for Lower Grandstand and $75 for Standing Floor Seats. All tickets are subject to applicable fees. Amanda Watkins was born in West Virginia and raised in Florida. Amanda is the quintessential “American Woman” who holds dear a deep-rooted love of family, of country, of singing and songwriting. When she’s not writing songs or touring, you’ll find Amanda partaking of her other passions – cooking and eating down home cuisine.
She was drawn to music at an early age, and it’s been a major part of her life ever since. From singing in church at the age of five, to standing on the hallowed stage before a packed house in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Amanda has always delivered powerful performances with her strong voice and gifted melodies and lyrics. One of the proudest moments of her young career was when she became the first unsigned artist to ever play network late night TV, and then share co-write honors on a major Big & Rich single at country radio.
Over the last two years she’s been privileged to open for major artists like Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Jamey Johnson and Martina McBride. Her electric live show has made her a favorite at major music festivals like Taste of Country and WEfest and her appearance at Bonnarroo earned her the distinction by American Songwriter magazine as delivering one of the top 5 best performances that year. Amanda is currently writing songs and recording for her forthcoming album.
