Bingham Upbeat about Wrangler ProRodeo Tour

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Last week, the Clark County Fair & Rodeo in Logandale, Nev., was the first in the PRCA’s new tour – the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour.

The rodeo was a hit with contestants like bull rider Tyler Bingham. Bingham won the average with 172 points on two head.

“I think this is a cool, new deal with the points system with the (Wrangler ProRodeo Tour),” said Bingham, 25. “Changing things up and having something new is great, and it felt cool to win Logandale.”

Including ground money, Bingham left town with $8,221, moving him to seventh place in the April 16 PRCA World Standings with $43,719.

“Everybody seems to like this new Wrangler ProRodeo Tour, I know I do,” Bingham said.

The Wrangler ProRodeo Tour will feature 23 rodeos. It began with Logandale and will conclude with the finale presented by Justin Boots, Sept. 6-9, in Puyallup, Wash.

Steer wrestler Aaron Vosler, who captured the title in Logandale with a 12.5-second time in the three-head average, concurred with Bingham.

“I would love to get into Puyallup,” Vosler said. “I really like this Tour, especially now that I won Logandale.”

The Wrangler ProRodeo Tour continues with its second stop at the Red Bluff (Calif.) Round-Up. WranglerNetwork.com will livestream the Red Bluff (Calif.) Round-Up, April 21, 2:30 p.m. (PT), and April 22, 1:30 p.m.

“I will be in Red Bluff and I would love to make it two wins in a row,” Bingham said.

The media coverage of the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour will be divided between ProRodeoTV.com and the Wrangler Network.

ProRodeoTV.com will livestream 12 broadcasts, while the Wrangler Network will livestream the other 11 Tour rodeos. To subscribe to ProRodeoTV.com go to prorodeo.com/prorodeotv-subscribe.

With the Wrangler Tour, all cowboys eligible to compete in the Tour rodeos will have the opportunity to earn Tour points and qualify for the Justin Boots Tour Finale in Puyallup.

“The Justin Boots Tour Finale is right there toward the end of the season, so qualifying for that would mean a lot,” Bingham said. “That’s a major one you want to definitely be a part of.”
