Board Appoints Billy Jaynes CEO of Championship Bull Riding

WEATHERFORD, Texas – April 3, 2017 — Championship Bull Riding (CBR) today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Billy Jaynes as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors effective immediately. Jaynes previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Jaynes Gang, Exclusive Genetics, and Bucking Bull Games Inc.

“During this time of growth and prosperity, there is no better person to lead CBR than Billy Jaynes,” said Benny Cude, CBR Chairman of the Board. Jaynes is a proven leader with multi-layered roots in the bucking bull industry and with his business vision and the ability to bring people together, he is exactly what CBR needs as the company enters its next chapter of expansion and growth.”

Since his early years as a bull rider, Jaynes has spearheaded the industry’s most innovative competition and breeding organizations. During his tenure overseeing these multi-faceted divisions of the industry, his companies continually outperformed in the market and built new avenues and revenue streams within the industry.

“I couldn’t be more honored to have been chosen to lead the company,” Jaynes said. “The opportunity ahead for CBR is vast, but to seize it, we must focus clearly, move faster and continue to transform. There is not a better product on the market and our vision is to build a bigger fan base and grow the viewership and sponsorship,” said Jaynes.

“I’ve had the distinct privilege of working with the most talented employees and senior leadership team in the industry, and I know their passion and hunger for greatness will only grow stronger under Jayne’s leadership.” Continued Cude.

Jayne’s entered the rodeo arena in high school when he began to ride bucking bulls. That passion led him to own and manage Southern Rodeo, a professional rodeo company. He sold that company in 1999 to focus and pursue his passion of bucking bulls. He began buying and breeding at the same time the industry began the rodeo stock registry of elite animal athletes.

Currently Jayne’s passion has grown to owning and managing over 300 bulls and cows and he delivers top rated animal athletes to every division of the bucking bull business.

“Leading a top rated bull riding company is something I have wanted to do my entire life, I am walking away from many facets of my business to lead and I hope to make a big difference in the industry I am passionate about, I believe God made me to do that,” said Jaynes.

CBR also announced that Benny Cude, previously Chairman of the Board of Directors, will assume a new role on the Board as Chairman and Advisor.

“Cude is clearly the best person to lead CBR, and he has the unanimous support of our Board,” Jaynes said. “The Board took the thoughtful approach that our shareholders, customers, partners and employees expected and deserved.”
