Bryan Titman Picks Up Win at BlueDEF Velocity in Laredo

PUEBLO, Colo. – Brian Titman (East Bernard, Texas) was one of two riders to go 3-for-3 as he captured his first-ever Professional Bull Riders BlueDEF Velocity (BDVT) win in Laredo, Texas. During the two-day competition Jan. 10-11, Titman put up ride scores of 84, 86 and 88 points for a total of 258 to earn $4,900.00, as well as 80 PBR world points.

Robson Aragao (Aracaju Sergipe, Brazil) came in second with ride scores of 85.5, 79.5 and 86.50 for a total of 251.5 to earn 50 PBR world points along with a $3,500.00 paycheck.

Austin Meier (Kinta, Oklahoma) finished third with a total ride score of 169.5 to earn $2,100.00 and 30 world points. In fourth place was Flavio Viana (General Salgado, Brazil) with a 153 ride score and 20 world points while Rubens Barbosa (Iaciara, Goias, Brazil) finished in fifth place earning 15 world points and Chon Miranda (Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico) was in sixth place with 10 world points going to him.

The BlueDEF Velocity Tour will continue in Reno, Nevada, on Jan. 17 at the Lawler Events Center. Scottie Knapp (Albuquerque, New Mexico), Zane Cook (Fort Gibson, Oklahoma), Titman and Meier are three of the riders scheduled to compete.

Winners of each 2015 BDVT will be guaranteed a minimum of one opportunity to compete at a BFTS regular season event in an attempt to win enough points to rank among the Top 35 and earn a spot on the elite tour. With his win, Titman will be competing at the Sacramento Invitational in Sacramento, California, on Jan. 30-31.

In Madison, Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center on Jan. 9-10, Cody Tyler White (Talala, Oklahoma) picked up the win with a total ride score of 171.5, narrowly edging out L.J. Jenkins (Porum, Oklahoma) for the victory. Jenkins finished with a ride score of 171 for second place.

White put up ride scores of 85 and 86.5 to earn 60 points toward the PBR world standings and took home $4,301.80. Jenkins had ride scores of 83.5 and 87.5 for a total of 171 picking up 30 points in the world standings along with $3,234.95.

In third place was Ben Jones (Golburn, Australia) with 156.5 total ride points as he earned 20 world standings points and took home $1,651.89. In fourth place was Eric Lee (Adrian, Michigan) with an 87 ride score and 15 world standings points. Fifth and sixth places were won by Marcus Mast (Yoder, Kansas) and Carson Hiatt (Rosalia, Kansas) with rides scores of 86.5 and 86, respectively. Mast earned a total of 10 points towards the world standings while Hiatt earned 5.

At the Bossier City TPD event in Bossier City, Louisiana, on Jan. 9-10, Cook came away with 60 world points, capturing first place after riding both his bulls for a total ride score of 167.5 with an 83-point ride in Round 1 and then an 84.5-point ride in the championship round. He walked away with a paycheck for $4,473.87.

Neil Holmes (Houston, Texas) placed second as the only other rider to cover both bulls as he recorded a total ride score of 165 and earned 30 points toward the world standings. He took home $3,303.78. Tied for third place was Reagan Avery (West Monroe, Louisiana) and Jeston Mead(Holcomb, Kansas) with a ride score of 84.5 each, they each earned 17.5 world points. Avery won a total of $2,168.11 while Mead had $1,686.30.

Shane Baker (Winona, Missouri) and Josh Parrett (D’lo, Mississippi) finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Baker earned 10 world standings points and Parrett earned 5.

On Jan. 9-10 at the Rainesville Bull Bash in Rainesville, Alabama, Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia) was the only rider to cover both his bulls as he finished in first place with a total ride score of 171.0, earning $3,902.92 along with 60 points towards the PBR world standings.

Eli Vastbinder (Statesville, North Carolina) finished in second place with an 88 ride score to take home $3,175.26 and earn 30 world points. In third place was Tommy Erxleben (Ravenna, Michigan) with an 86 ride score and $1,852.24. He earned 20 world points. Three riders tied for fourth place as Josh Faircloth (Randleman, North Carolina), Chad VanAmburg (Archdale, North Carolina) and Alex Jenks (Vale, North Carolina) each had an 85.5-point ride, and each earned 10 world points.

At Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio on Jan. 10, Lane Nobles (China Spring, Texas) came away the winner with a ride score of 89 to take first place and earned 20 points towards the PBR world standings. Sterling Furr (Boerne, Texas) was second and earned 15 world points, Rocky McDonald (Chihuahua, Mexico) finished in third place and earned 10 world points and Ian Molan (Cork, Ireland) earned fourth place and 5 world points.

On Jan. 15 in Pueblo, Colorado, Brant Atwood (Pampa, Texas), Neil Holmes (Houston, Texas) and Derek Kolbaba (Walla Walla, Washington) are scheduled to compete.

In a two-day event on Jan. 16-17 at the Sixth Annual Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Cowtown Classic Bull Riding in Fort Worth, Texas, Skeeter Kingsolver (McLouth, Kansas), Harve Stewart (Stephenville, Texas) andTyler Harr (Hazen, Arkansas) are some of the riders that will be riding.

The Wrangler PBR Bushwacker Invitational in Spokane, Washington will be held on Jan. 16-17 at Spokane Arena. Ian Molan (Cork, Ireland), Jay Miller (Liberty, South Carolina) and Eli Vastbinder (Statesville, North Carolina) highlight some of the riders competing.

On Jan. 17 in Fort Pierce, Florida, Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia), Josh Parrett (Dlo, Mississippi) and Chad VanAmburg (Archdale, North Carolina) are a few of the riders scheduled to ride.
