Bulls Were Tough on the Professional Bull Riders Tonight but de Oliveira is the Champion

SALINAS, CA, – A sold out crowd of 10,034 sat on the edge of their seats Wednesday night watching the bull riders take on some rank bulls at the Salinas Sports Complex during their stop on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) BlueDEF Velocity Tour, presented by Salinas Valley Ford. The PBR continues to be one of the most popular events held during Big Week, selling out for the third consecutive year, with revenue up 14.9% over 2015. The champion this year was Wallace Vieira de Oliveira from Goiania, GO, Brazil with a total of 87.5 points on only one bull –Captain Jack of Julio Moreno bucking Bulls. Second place went to Markus Mariluch of Elko, NV with a score of 86.5 on Rattler of Jerry Brown Bucking Bulls and third place went to Ryan McConnel of Bloomfield, NM with an 84 point ride on Big Timer, another one of Julio Moreno’s bulls.
