Bushwacker Returning to Las Vegas for Cowboy Spring Break

PUEBLO, Colo. – When the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) return to Las Vegas on May 22-24 for the fifth consecutive Last Cowboy Standing, PBR’s legendary bull, Bushwacker, will be among the stars making appearances on the Las Vegas Strip to celebrate the inaugural three-day Cowboy Spring Break weekend.

On Saturday, May 23, South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa will host the three-time World Champion Bull at the pool from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. PBR Fan Club members, hotel guests and the general public will be able to see the 1,760 pound athlete relax poolside, while enjoying his retirement during the first return to the city that made him famous.

Joining Bushwacker will be the No. 2 ranked bull rider in PBR world standings, Matt Triplett, and No. 10 ranked bull rider, Reese Cates. Throughout the afternoon, fans will enjoy a day filled with music, PBR and fun in the sun during Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas. Admission for the pool bash is free.

“Bushwacker is returning to the city where he won three championship titles and became a Western sports legend,” Bushwacker’s owner Julio Moreno said. “This time, however, he’ll be able to relax and relish being a retired athlete, enjoying his fans’ appreciation.”

On Sunday, May 24, Bushwacker will venture down the Strip to join the top 50 PBR bull riders in the world during a PBR bull rider autograph session at MGM Resorts Village inside the Monster Energy Cowboy Festival from 3 to 4:30 p.m. As a special thanks to Las Vegas and the loyal fans, pictures and autographs with Bushwacker and the bull riders will be possible during the event.

The pool party and autograph session are just two of the plethora of festivities taking place inside the Monster Energy Cowboy Festival, May 22-24. The lineup includes Last Cowboy Standing on Friday, May 22 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 23 at 6 p.m., featuring the Top 50 bull riders in the world – the largest field of any PBR event – riding for a first place prize of $180,000; concerts by artists including Montgomery Gentry, Gary Allan and The Band Perry; as well as the Dock Dogs, the Step Up Rail Jam, on-site VIP pool parties, volleyball and more.
