Showbands who participated in Friday’s Calgary Stampede Parade performed in front of a live audience of approximately 275,000 people. Countless others also watched on television and online. And what a memorable performance it was!

The Calgary Stampede Parade Committee is excited to announce the following award winners from Friday’s Parade, as selected by the Calgary Stampede Parade judges.
Farm work pays off for winner of Calgary Stampede World Stock Dog Championship: It’s a feat to behold: a handler communicating with their four-legged partner through a series of high-pitched whistles and voice commands, herding a trio of sheep through a challenging course in front of a hushed crowd of thousands.

For Express Clydesdales, their tradition is winning the Calgary Stampede World Champion Six Horse Hitch every four years.
GMC Rangeland Derby – Chanse Vigen holds onto top spot & rookie Ridsdale looks to make a run for the money: Chanse Vigen is showing no interest in budging. The 33-year-old driver, the aggregate leader through two days of the GMC Rangeland Derby, stubbornly stayed put Sunday evening. And he did it in style.

Winner of Best New Food – Savoury 2016, International Perogies signature Teriyaki Chicken variety wins again this year, this time for Best International 2017. Made with teriyaki chicken, sautéed onions, Siracha mayo, sour cream, seaweed and green onions, this dish is perfect for sharing so make sure to check them out the next time you’re on the Stampede Midway.
