Calgary Stampede Sets Enhanced Safety and Security Measures for 2017 Event

Calgary – The Calgary Stampede, in partnership with members from the Calgary Police Services, Emergency Medical Services, Calgary Emergency Management Agency and Calgary Fire Department, will be sharing details about the safety and security measures in place for the 2017 Stampede.

“The Calgary Stampede considers the safety of our guests, volunteers, employees and animals to be our number one priority,” says Jim Laurendeau, vice president, events and park services.

We invite media to attend this event to learn more about how the Stampede and The City of Calgary work together to create a safe experience for guests during the Stampede, and year round.
