Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Finals Come to Calgary

Calgary – Watch the future stars of the Calgary Stampede in action as the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Finals come to Stampede Park for the first time. Western Canada’s top college rodeo athletes will compete for national titles in three exciting nights of action beginning Thursday, March 30 at 7 p.m. in the Agrium Western Event Centre.

Don’t want to wait until July to get your rodeo fix? All six major rodeo events will be featured throughout this competition, along with Team Roping, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping and Pole Bending.

To qualify for the finals, these talented young competitors must compete in student-run rodeos throughout the year while maintaining their academic standing at a post-secondary school in Western Canada. They must also be a current member of the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
