ARLINGTON, Texas – Durant, Oklahoma’s Choctaw Casino Resort, the closest Casino to Dallas, joins Kawasaki Motor Corp., U.S.A. as the entitlement and presenting sponsors of the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) second PBR Major of its 2016 Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) season, the Iron Cowboy, which takes place at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 27.

As a PBR Major, the 2016 Choctaw Casino Iron Cowboy powered by Kawasaki will present a special format, offer increased PBR world standings points and prize money, and will air on CBS Television Network. It represents the PBR’s seventh consecutive visit to the home of the Dallas Cowboys and the only BFTS stop in Texas this season.

“We are thrilled about our continued partnership with this year’s PBR Iron Cowboy,” said Jeff Penz, General Manager for the Choctaw Casino Resort, “and are looking forward to all the events surrounding the action-packed weekend!”

“Kawasaki is thrilled to be the presenting sponsor of the Iron Cowboy for the second year in a row. The saying ‘Everything is bigger in Texas’ couldn’t be more true when you blend iconic AT&T Stadium with the Professional Bull Riders in one place,” said Kevin Allen, Manager of PR and Brand Experience at Kawasaki. “Texas and Iron Cowboy represent what the new Kawasaki Mule PRO series is all about; strong heritage, long-lasting, and conquering all challenges. We’re looking forward to seeing our Kawasaki sponsored PBR athletes Shane Proctor and two-time PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney compete for the title of Iron Cowboy.”

On Feb. 27, 40 of the top bull riders from the Built Ford Tough Series and the BlueDEF Tour, the PBR’s qualifying tour, will compete in round after round of competition to determine who can successfully ride the most consecutive bulls in one evening. The winning rider will receive $100,000.

Additionally, one bull during the competition will be designated as the Bad Boy Mowers Bounty Bull. The lucky bull rider who is randomly matched with this bovine opponent will have the opportunity to ride him for the Bad Boy Mowers Bonus of $25,000. If he makes a qualified 8-second ride aboard the bounty bull, the bull rider wins $25,000. If he fails to make the buzzer, the $25,000 rolls over to the bounty for the Bad Boy Mowers Bounty Bull at the next PBR Major, The Last Cowboy Standing, which takes place during the PBR’s Helldorado Days in Las Vegas, May 13-15. That bounty would be worth $50,000.

The Choctaw Casino Iron Cowboy powered by Kawasaki kicks off the richest weekend in Western sports. The competition begins Saturday, Feb. 27, at 5:50 p.m. CT. Tickets range in price from $20 to $152. They can be purchased at the AT&T Stadium Box Office and Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.

New to the ticket options this year are the PBR Elite Seats. Located in the front row on the 50-yard line of AT&T Stadium, the PBR Elite Seats are priced at $500 and will give fans the VIP experience of a lifetime: a pre-event reception with refreshments, photos with the PBR World Championship trophy and bull riders, 2016 PBR program, backstage tours featuring a PBR 101 presentation, meet-and-greets with the PBR’s exclusive entertainer Flint Rasmussen and top PBR stars, and dirt access following the PBR event. These seats are also on sale now.

The Iron Cowboy is followed on Sunday, Feb. 28, by THE AMERICAN, the world’s richest one-day rodeo, which will showcase some of the most-talented, toughest, grittiest rodeo athletes Dallas has ever seen.
