Concert Entertainer Announced for Red Bluff Round-Up

Country music star Aaron Watson to perform at Tehama District Fairgrounds on April 20

Aaron Watson will be the featured concert at the 98th annual Red Bluff Round-Up. The country music traditionalist has several hits and millions of fans.

Red Bluff, Calif. (December 1, 2018) – Get ready, Red Bluff, for some great country music headed your way!

Aaron Watson is the concert during the Red Bluff Round-Up on Saturday, April 20!

The Texas singer/songwriter sings the songs of the common man, “spurs-and-Stetson” songs dedicated to the life he grew up in, in his native west Texas. His music is traditional country: less of the hook-up, beer, beach and babe culture, and more of the celebrations of the everyday life: faith, family, and friends.

Watson loves his fans. He’s no rock star, but he doesn’t want to be. He’s like his fans: they are independent, fiercely loyal, rugged people who would give the shirt off their back for their neighbor and who are humble and hard working.

And Watson knows how to work. He’s been in the music industry for eighteen years, pounding the pavement, working to make his way without a big music contract. He gets up at 5 a.m. each morning, not to take care of cattle but to write his songs. And he’s done well: playing more than 2,500 shows in the U.S. and Europe with thousands of social media fans, and hitting the top of the Texas radio charts.

He’s a good fit for the Red Bluff Round-Up crowd, said James Miller, the Round-Up’s general manager. Watson knows country, loves rodeo, and knows how to party. He loves what he does: playing music for his loyal fans, and Red Bluff will love him for who he is: a straightforward country man, a real cowboy, singing the songs of love, life, and living, whose cowboys boots have actually stepped in a rodeo arena.

Tickets for the show are on sale online at www.RedBluffRoundup.com. The show will be held on Saturday, April 20 with doors opening at 6:30 pm; the concert begins at 8 pm in the Pauline Davis Pavilion at the Tehama District Fairgrounds in Red Bluff.

Tickets range in price from $25 to $35, plus convenience fees.

The concert is held in conjunction with the 98th annual Red Bluff Round-Up, which takes place April 19-21. Tickets for the Round-Up are also available online. For more information, visit the website or call the rodeo office at 530.527.1000.
