Da Silva Wins PBR BlueDEF Tour Event in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. – Juliano Antonio Da Silva captured the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) BlueDEF Tour (BDT) event victory Saturday night with a total score of 175 points inside Hampton Coliseum.
Da Silva went 2-for-2 after riding Fast Tracker (Davis Rodeo Ranch) for 86 points in Round 1 and Riggin Slinger (Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls) for 89 points in the championship round. With the win, Da Silva earned 80 points toward the PBR world standings, and an invitation to the Duluth Invitational at Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Georgia, on March 11-12. In second place was Kurt Shepard with 173.5 points, while Dallee Mason (172 points), Marco Eguchi (169 points), and Zane Cook (85.5 points) rounded out the Top 5. Shepard earned 50 world standings points for second place, while Mason notched 30 points for finishing third. Eguchi picked up 20 world standings points after finishing fourth and Cook earned 15 world standings points for finishing fifth.
Riggin Slinger (Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls) was the high-marked bull Saturday night. Riggin Slinger (Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls) earned 43.5 points as Da Silva covered him in the championship round.
The BlueDEF Tour, presented by Real Time Pain Relief, heads to Bangor, Maine, next week. The event will take place at the Cross Insurance Center on Friday, March 11, at 8 p.m. ET, and Saturday, March 12, at 7 p.m. ET.
The BlueDEF Finals will take place at South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 29-31, leading into the PBR 2016 Built Ford Tough World Finals. The winner of the BlueDEF Finals, the second- and third-place finishers, and the top international performer, along with the 2016 BlueDEF Tour Champion, will each qualify to compete at the PBR World Finals
