First Performance of 107th California Rodeo Salinas Full of Highlights
Salinas, CA, July 21, 2017 – Another Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night has come and gone and the 107th California Rodeo Salinas is officially underway. Thursday night, presented by Rabobank, drew a crowd of 9,811 people to the Salinas Sports Complex in their pink shirts and hats. $1 from each ticket sold last night will be donated to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System.
Highlights included Lena Coulson of Salinas earning the title of Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2017, the first ever Junior Barrel Race on our track, Bareback Rider Kaycee Feild scoring 84 points on Rafter G Rodeo’s Biscuit, Trevor Brazile and Patrick Smith winning the round in the Team Roping with a time of 7.4 seconds and Bull Rider Elliott Jacoby riding Rafter G Rodeo’s Johnny West for 85 points. Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey also performed on our track, herding Barbados sheep while riding his Border Collie, Boogie. Full event results can be found here: http://bit.ly/2ug4LvK
