For the Record: Wrangler NFR Round 8

Saddle bronc rider Ryder Wright is known for going big at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. During his Las Vegas debut in 2016 he won every round he placed in, Rounds 1-4 and Round 9, to rank 12th at the 2016 Wrangler NFR.

The following year he won the world title and set two round records. The Utah cowboy matched his dad, Cody, for the Round 6 record with 89 points. Two days later, he made his first ride to exceed 90 points with a Round 8, record-setting, 92-point ride.

Ryder Wright went on to rake in $185,577 at the 2017 Wrangler NFR while winning the world title. Now, he’s heading back to the Thomas & Mack Center after winning some of the biggest rodeos of the 2018 season such as:

• The Washington (Puyallup) State Fair Pro Rodeo
California Rodeo Salinas
• The Horse Heaven / Kennewick (Wash.) Round-Up
• The Snake River Stampede (Nampa, Idaho)
• The Sisters (Ore.) Rodeo
• The Fiesta Days Rodeo (Spanish Fork, Utah)
• The Amarillo (Texas) Tri-State Fair and Rodeo
• The West of The Pecos (Texas) Rodeo
• The Molalla (Ore.) Buckeroo Rodeo
• The Cave Creek (Ariz.) Rodeo Days
