Four Former BFTS Regulars Pick Up Wins on Touring Pro Division

PUEBLO, Colo. – Four bull riders who had previously been ranked among the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Top 35 men who compete on the elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) rode away with wins during last weekend’s Touring Pro Division (TPD) events.

In Ivins, Utah, at the Tuacahn Ampitheatre, Marco Eguchi (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Cody Campbell (Summerville, Oregon) each were victorious, earning 60 points apiece towards the PBR world standings. There were two TPD events in Ivins. On Friday night, Campbell had ride scores of 89 and 85 points for a total ride score of 174 points with which earned him the win and $4,677.13.

Bryant Osborne (Rifle, Colorado) was the only other rider to cover both his bulls Friday, recording 167 points for second place. He picked up 30 world standings points for the finish and $2,926.98.

Dallee Mason (Caldwell, Idaho), Eguchi, Alex Aparecido Marcilio (Macaubal, Brazil) and Alexandre Cardozo (Indaiatuba, Brazil) rounded out the top six, as each earned points towards the world standings.

Eguchi captured first place Saturday night in Ivins. He finished with a total ride score 170.5 points off 82- and 88.5-point rides for the win, taking home $3,952.93.

Edgar Durazo (Moctezuma, Mexico) also rode both his bulls for scores of 81 and 85 which put him in second place with a total of 166 points. He earned 30 world points and took home $2,926.98.

The other top six riders that also earned points were Skyler Sims (Peculiar, Missouri), Osborne, Strider Leverton (Vernal, Utah) and Omar Martinez (Joshua, Texas).

In Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Tyler Harr (Hazen, Arkansas) used a Round 1 ride score of 87.5 to finish in first place, earning $3,545.24 and 60 world points. Austin Meier (Kinta, Oklahoma) took second place with 86.5 points. He earned $2,557.23 and 30 world points.

Cody Rodeo Tyler (Perry, Oklahoma) notched a third-place finish with an 86-point ride, earning 20 world points. Kenneth Willis, Joshua Baker (Birch Tree, Missouri) and Jay Miller (Liberty, South Carolina) finished in fourth, fifth and sixth place, respectively.

In San Antonio at Cowboys Dancehall on April 11, Luis Blanco (Sao Paulo, Brazil) was the winner off an 88-point ride. He earned 20 world points along with $2,219.95. In second place was Matt Ward (Saginaw, Texas) with an 86.5-point ride and third place went to Pistol Preece (Troy, Texas). They earned 15 and 10 world points, respectively.

This weekend the TPD will have just one event. On April 17-18 the PBR will be in Denver, Colorado at the National Western Events Center. Eguchi, Blanco, Jordan Hupp (Stephenville, Texas) and Skeeter Kingsolver (McLouth, Kansas) are some of the riders who will be competing.
