From Sweet to Heat! Introducing the Jaw-Dropping Flavours to Hit the Midway at the 2017 Calgary Stampede

Calgary – From heat to sweet, the Calgary Stampede is thrilled to tease your taste buds with our new, mouthwatering Midway food, found only on Stampede Park, July 7 – 16.

With 40 new and innovative foods on the Midway menu, foodies everywhere will want to loosen their belt buckles before clearing their plates at The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. Among this year’s imaginative offerings are the world’s spiciest pizza, Canadian bacon pickle balls, deep-fried Jell-O and a metre long sausage.

“These are foods you won’t forget,” says Calgary Stampede midway operations manager, James Radke. “They push the envelope of traditional midway food. Our goal is to have you find your new favourite flavours on the Stampede Midway, and have a great time doing it!”

These 40 new dishes have been created just for the 2017 Calgary Stampede. That means this might be your only chance to test your tongue on extreme foods, taste the trends and even chomp on Canadian-inspired eats. And remember, you can always please your palate on good ‘ol traditional Stampede specialties.

To take a look at all the new food being offered at this year’s Stampede, please visit CalgaryStampede.com/food and stay tuned for the food map to be posted online in June.

You don’t have to cram your whole foodie experience into one day. With the Stampede SuperPass you can have unlimited access to Park July 6 – 16 for just $39 plus tax. The SuperPass is available online starting May 22 at CalgaryStampede.com/superpass.
