Frost Family to Celebrate Life of Late Bull Rider at Hometown Event

The First Annual Lane Frost Memorial Bull Riding will be held THIS WEEKEND at the newly built Atoka Trail Riders Arena in Atoka, Oklahoma. A dream many years in the making, this event is a labor of love – the entire event planned, organized, and promoted by the Atoka Chamber of Commerce and the Atoka Trail Riders in close partnership with the Frost Family. All net proceeds from this event will benefit the Lane Frost Cowboy Bible Fund established by Elsie and Clyde Frost in memory of their son.

Arguably the most famous bull rider in history, Lane Frost was a serious competitor in the rodeo arena, earning the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association bull riding world championship title in 1987. Frost was well-loved and widely known throughout the world of professional rodeo in the 1980s, as much for his infectious smile and ebullient nature as for his elite riding chops; his untimely death at the age of 25 sent shockwaves of grief throughout the tightknit rodeo community. Though there have been countless events celebrating Lane Frost’s life over the years, this is the very first established by his family.
