EAST COASTIN’ – For the second straight week the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) will play the East Coast with a trip to Allentown, Pennsylvania, this weekend. It’s the second year in a row that the PPL Center will host the PBR with the Allentown Invitational presented by Cooper Tires beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
NEXT UP – The BFTS regular season concludes next week in Tucson, Arizona, on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3. Competition begins at 8 p.m. MT on Friday, Oct. 2, and at 7 p.m. MT on Saturday, Oct. 3.
PAST ALLENTOWN EVENT WINNERS – Fabiano Vieira won the inaugural PBR BFTS event in Allentown, picking up his third event win of the 2014 season by being one of five riders to go 3-for-3.
FORMAT – The Top 35 bull riders on the BFTS will compete in Round 1 on Friday and Round 2 on Saturday, facing one bull in each round. The riders with the Top 15 total scores after two rounds will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Saturday for an additional ride and a chance at the $30,000 event title.
POSSIBLE POINTS – There are 700 possible points available at the Allentown Invitational, as the winner of the event average will receive 400 points and each of the three round wins are worth 100 points apiece.
TELEVISION BROADCAST – The 15/15 Bucking Battle on Friday will be televised on CBS Television Network Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. ET while CBS Sports Network will broadcast Round 2 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday. Veteran broadcaster Craig Hummer will provide the play-by-play, color commentary will be provided by J.W. Hart, while Leah Garcia will handle dirt-level interviews.

15/15 BUCKING BATTLE – On Friday, there will also be a special round of competition when the eighth PBR 15/15 Bucking Battle of the 2015 season takes place immediately following Round 1. The 15/15 Bucking Battles feature the Top 15 riders in the world competing against the 15 highest-ranked bulls at the event for an additional purse of $21,000 and valuable bonus points toward the PBR world standings. The bulls are randomly assigned a position from 1-15, then the riders matched with their bulls based upon their own current ranking in the BFTS standings.
