Game Notes: Biloxi

BACK TO BILOXI – The Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series makes its way back to Biloxi, Mississippi, for the second year in a row as the Battle at the Beau takes place at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The competition will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.

UP NEXT – The PBR BFTS will debut in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with the Cooper Tires Take the Money and Ride event next weekend at the brand new PPL Center. The event will take place Friday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. It is the last regular season event of the 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series.

PAST BILOXI EVENT WINNERS – Last year, current No. 4 rider in the PBR world standings and 2004 PBR World Champion Mike Lee won the first Built Ford Tough Series event in Biloxi. Lee went 3-for-3 and won just over $38,000.

FORMAT – This weekend, the Top 35 bull riders on the BFTS will compete in Round 1 on Friday night and Round 2 on Saturday night, facing one bull in each round. The riders with the Top 15 scores after two rounds will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Saturday for an additional ride and a chance at the $30,000 event title.

POSSIBLE POINTS – There are a maximum of 900 possible points available during the Battle at the Beau presented by Kawasaki. The winner of each round will receive 100 points plus their ride score with a maximum of three rounds. The event winner will receive 300 points.

PROVIDING PROTECTION – The Dickies® Bullfighters this weekend are Lyndel Runyan of Sulphur, Okla; Shorty Gorham of Cotulla, Texas; and Frank Newsom of Paoli, Okla.

TELEVISION BROADCAST – PBR LIVE on pbr.com will broadcast the Battle at the Beau presented by Kawasaki at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 3 and at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 4.

CBS Sports Network will broadcast Round 2 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET. The broadcast will feature Craig Hummer providing play-by-play and color commentary from J.W. Hart, while dirt- level interviews will be handled by Leah Garcia.
