FORMAT – This weekend is a head-to-head bracket-style format that pits the Top 36 riders against one another in an 8- second duel as they ride the series’ best bulls. The rider with the highest score – or the longest riding time in the event both riders fail to make a qualified ride – advances. Different from years past, riders eliminated in Round 1 and 2 on Friday are given another opportunity to ride and win, with the second chance bracket that will take place on Saturday. The total purse is $195,000, with the event champion, the head-to-head bracket winner, receiving $75,000 and the $50,000 Bad Boy Mowers Bonus going to the ride score champion – the rider with the highest cumulative ride score. There is also a chance that the event champion and ride score champion will be the same rider.

POSSIBLE POINTS – There are 890 possible points available at the Jack Daniel’s Music City Knockout, as the bracket champion will receive 400 points, the winner of the event average will receive 240 points, each cowboy who reaches the final four spots of the bracket will receive 150 points, and each cowboy who reaches the elite eight will receive 100 points.
