Game Notes: St. Louis

YOU CAN FIND ME IN ST. LOUIE – The Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) will stop in the Midwest this weekend, bringing the best bull riders in the world and bucking bulls in the business to the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The competition will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13; 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.

ON DECK – The PBR visits Kansas City, Missouri, next, as the Sprint Center hosts the Caterpillar Classic. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

PAST ST. LOUIS EVENT WINNERS – Last year, 2013 Rookie of the Year Joao Ricardo Vieira went 3-for-4 with a 90.75-point ride on Smackdown (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve) on the way to his first Built Ford Tough Series win of 2014.

FORMAT – This weekend, the Top 35 bull riders on the BFTS will compete in Round 1 on Friday, Round 2 on Saturday, and Round 3 on Sunday, facing one bull in each round. The riders with the Top 15 scores after three rounds will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Sunday for an additional ride and a chance at the $30,000 event title.

POSSIBLE POINTS – There are 800 possible points available in St. Louis, as the winner of the event average will receive 400 points and each of the four round wins are worth 100 points apiece.

PROVIDING PROTECTION – The Dickies® Bullfighters this weekend are Jesse Byrne of Okotoks, Alberta; Shorty Gorham of Cotulla, Texas; and Frank Newsom of Paoli, Oklahoma.
