SECOND SOONER STATE STOP – After a one-week break, the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series will have the fourth annual WinStar World Casino & Resort Invitational this weekend in Thackerville, Oklahoma, at the WinStar World Casino & Resort. Bull riding will begin at 7:50 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30.
ON DECK – The Jack Daniel’s Invitational at Bridgestone Arena is up next, as the PBR heads to Nashville, Tennessee. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 5, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m.
PAST THACKERVILLE EVENT WINNERS – Last year, defending PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney continued his climb to the No. 1 spot in the PBR world standings with his second win of the season during this event. The 26-year- old would go on to win three more events in the second half, en route to the PBR World Championship title.

FORMAT – This weekend, the Top 35 bull riders on the BFTS will compete in Round 1 on Friday night and Round 2 on Saturday night, facing one bull in each round. The riders with the Top 15 scores after two rounds will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round on Saturday for an additional ride and a chance at the $30,000 event title.
ABBI CLASSIC EVENT IN ROUND 1 – Thackerville will include an American Bucking Bull Inc. Classic event. There will be 35 bulls competing for a prize purse of more than $30,000 in Round 1 on Friday night. The ABBI, which introduces young bucking bulls at select BFTS and Touring Pro Division events, is dedicated to unifying, developing and promoting the bucking bull industry through pedigree preservation; enhancement and promotion of bucking bull ownership, breeding, and welfare; and development of programs and events showcasing the world’s finest bucking bull stock. The ABBI is the third-largest cattle registry in the world and is set up to record and preserve the pedigrees of the world’s premier bucking bulls.
POSSIBLE POINTS – There are a maximum of 900 possible points available during the WinStar World Casino & Resort Invitational. The winner of each round will receive 100 points plus the ride score with a maximum of three rounds. The event winner will receive 300 points.
