BILOXI, Miss. – Tyler Harr has replaced Stetson Lawrence in the draw for the Built Ford Tough Series Battle at the Beau this weekend after Lawrence injured his right knee on Thursday night at a rodeo in Sidney, Montana.
“I got my foot stuck in the chute and the bull started jumping in there and twisted my foot backwards,” Lawrence said.
Lawrence – the No. 10 bull rider in the world – plans on getting the injury looked at today.
Harr found out on Friday morning that he was suddenly in the draw and immediately packed his bags and had his wife, Lindsey, drop him off at Preston Smith International Airport in Lubbock, Texas.
“I’m excited,” Harr said. “(Haven’t) got a lick of sleep, but I am going to try to get a few hours on the plane.”
Harr expects to land in Biloxi at 3 p.m.
The 39th ranked bull rider in the world standings trails No. 35 Alexandre Cardozo by 101.66 points.
