ARLINGTON, Texas – Two of the most popular events in the PBR and rodeo have collaborated to bring fans the deal of the year – 50 percent off tickets for both the Professional Bull Riders Sam’s Club Iron Cowboy powered by Kawasaki and THE AMERICAN, taking place in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium, the weekend of Feb. 28 – March 1.
From Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 17-19, fans can get tickets and experience all the action for half the price at any Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com, via phone at 800-745-3000 or at the AT&T Stadium Box Office by using the code “TEXAS.” The discount applies to all ticket levels for each event and for two-day ticket packages. The sale ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Dec. 19.
When the PBR returns to AT&T Stadium for the sixth consecutive year with the Iron Cowboy, it will include a new format and increased prize money. The one-day event will now feature 40 of the Top PBR bull riders hanging tough for their share of $250,000, up from $150,000 in previous years.
The Top 35 bull riders from the PBR’s 2015 Built Ford Tough Series and the five winners from the preceding BlueDEF Velocity Tour events (Detroit; Salt Lake City, Utah; Worcester, Massachusetts; Yakima, Washington; and Little Rock, Arkansas) will take on one bull in each round, striving to make the 8-second buzzer. If a rider stays on his bull for the required 8 seconds, he advances to the next round. If he gets bucked off, he is finished. Through a minimum of two, and a maximum of five rounds, these athletes will continue to ride until one cowboy prevails and is declared the Iron Cowboy.
On Sunday, March 1, the day after Iron Cowboy, the largest single-day cash prize rodeo in history will take place for the second straight year. THE AMERICAN is inviting the Top 10 athletes in each of the traditional rodeo sports, including the Top 10 bull riders from the PBR, to compete in the event for their share of THE AMERICAN’s $2 million total event purse.
The greatest weekend in Western sports awaits fans for half the price this week only. Tickets will return to their original prices on Saturday, Dec. 20.
