Jay Miller Wins PBR BlueDEF Tour Event in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — Jay Miller won the Professional Bull Riders BlueDEF Tour (BDT) event in Milwaukee with a total score of 177 points.

Miller went 2-for-2 for on the night, after riding Good Trade (J Bar W Ranch) for 88 points in Round 1 and The Kraken (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve) for 89 points in the championship round. See his winning ride here: http://bit.ly/1YmiDKV.

With the win, Miller earned 80 points toward the PBR world standings and an invitation to compete at the Built Ford Tough Series in Billings, Montana, at the Stanley Performance in Action Invitational presented by Cooper Tires on April 15-17.

In second place was Brady Sims with 172.5 points, earning 50 points toward the world standings. Ryan Prophet finished third with 87 points and earned 30 points toward the world standings. Keith Miller finished in fourth with 86.5 points and earned 20 points toward the world standings. Tied for fifth place with 84.5 points each were Emilio Resende, Nathan Burtenshaw, and Chad VanAmburg.

There was a three-way tie for the high-marked bull of the night. Cash Ya Out (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Cymbaluk Cattle Co), Pile Driver (Chad Berger/Flying S), and The Kraken (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve) each earned scores of 44.5 points.

Milwaukee was the 17^th event of the 2016 BlueDEF Tour. The season will culminate with the 2016 BlueDEF Finals taking place Oct. 29-31 at South Point Arena in Las Vegas. The 2016 BlueDEF Champion will be the rider who earns the most world points throughout the 2016 BDT season, including the BlueDEF Finals. The winner will receive $50,000 and qualify to compete at the $2.3 million PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals.

The BlueDEF Tour presented by Real Time Pain Relief next heads to Omaha, Nebraska. The action from CenturyLink Center starts at 8 p.m. CT on Friday, April 15, and 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 16.
