Jordan Hupp Wins Prescott Touring Pro Division Event

Jordan Hupp went 2-for-2 in Arizona.


PUEBLO, Colo. – Going 2-for-2 on the weekend, Jordan Hupp (Stephenville, Texas) garnered a first place victory at the Professional Bull Riders Cowboy Capital Touring Pro Division event in Prescott, Arizona on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Hupp bounced back from an 85.5-point ride and a fifth place finish in Round 1 to be the only rider to ride his championship round bull. He notched 89 points on his second bull of the night and finished with 174.5 points and $4,488.09.

Tyler Harr (Slovak, Arkansas) recorded the highest score in Round 1 with an 88-point ride. Harr finished in second place overall and took home $2,679.29.

Josh Faircloth’s (Randleman, North Carolina) 87 points in Round 1 gave him third place with a $1,718.37 pay check. Brant Atwood (Decatur, Texas) finished in fourth place with 86.5 points and $910.04.

The PBR’s Touring Pro Division will have a busy Labor Day weekend with events in North Carolina, Montana, Texas and Colorado, Aug. 29-31.

The 16th Annual Jerome Davis PBR Invitational, on Aug. 29-30 at the Davis Rodeo Ranch Arena in Archdale, North Carolina, will feature riders like Faircloth, Atwood, Ben Jones (Goulburn, Australia) and Jay Miller (Liberty, South Carolina).

On Aug. 30 at the Red Lodge Rodeo Grounds in Red Lodge, Montana, the Clint Branger TPD event will take place. Jason Malone (Pleasanton, Texas), Ryan Prophet (Rigby, Idaho) and John Smith (Malta, Montana) are some of the riders scheduled to compete.

In Belton, Texas, on Aug. 30 the PBR TPD will take place at the Bell County Expo Center. Several Built Ford Tough Series riders are expected to highlight the field: Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas), Austin Meier (Kinta, Oklahoma), Lachlan Richardson (Gresford, Australia) and Stetson Lawrence (Trenton, North Dakota).

The Rocky Mountain TPD Bull Bash in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, will take place Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Brent Romick Arena. Jory Markiss (Missoula, Montana), Dakota Beck (Moses Lake, Washington), and Derek Kolbaba (Walla Walla, Washington) are some of the riders that will make an appearance.
