Kelsea Ballerini and Producer Ross Copperman bring Music to Life in Studio During 2017 ACM Lifting Lives® Music Camp

Chris Young Performs with Campers in Music Camp Finale at the Grand Ole Opry®

Encino, CA (June 28, 2017) – The 8th Annual ACM Lifting Lives® Music Camp was in session this week in Nashville, Tenn. with campers from around the country participating in a week of activities and excursions around Music City. Closing out the last few days of Music Camp, the campers enjoyed an unforgettable experience with Kelsea Ballerini, Ross Copperman, and a huge grand finale performance with Chris Young at the Grand Ole Opry®.

On Monday, Black River recording artist Kelsea Ballerini visited the campers during a recording session, where they did a Q&A, followed by the campers recording their original song, “I Love Big,” with renowned songwriter/producer Ross Copperman at Black River Sound Stage Studios.

On Tuesday, ACM Lifting Lives® Music Camp finale was filled with a touching performance at the Grand Ole Opry with Chris Young, singing their original song “I Love Big,” which they wrote just days ago with Dierks Bentley and Ross Copperman.

The residential camp has the dual purpose of studying Williams syndrome while providing the 30 campers with music enrichment through performance and education. In addition to the songwriting session that kicked off Camp last week, campers enjoyed a trip to the Seacrest Studios with Bobby Bones and enjoyed a fun-filled karaoke night at Winner’s Bar & Grill with Jerrod Niemann.

The camp is a partnership between ACM Lifting Lives and Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
