Kingsolver Wins Velocity Tour Albany Classic

ALBANY, N.Y. – Skeeter Kingsolver (Mclouth, Kansas) won his third event of the season at the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Albany Classic Saturday night at the Times Union Center.

Kingsolver earned the victory after an 86.5-point ride aboard Lights Out (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) in Round 1, he was later bucked off in the championship round. For the win, Kingsolver earned 80 points toward the world standings and $6,100.

Winners of each RVT event in 2017 will be guaranteed at least one opportunity to compete at a PBR Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) regular-season event. Thanks to his victory in Albany, Kingsolver earned an invitation to the Frontier Communications Invitational, presented by Cooper Tires, in Raleigh, North Carolina, October 14-15.

Alex Cardozo (Indaiatuba, Brazil) solidified the second-place slot. He was bucked off in Round 1, but was able to earn a spot in the championship round where he covered Outlaw (Mike Miller/Torres Bros) for 86 points. Cardozo won $6,500 and 50 points toward the world standings.

Third place went to Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia), who snatched 30 points toward the world standings and $3,000. Lane rode Squeegee (J Bar W Ranch) in Round 1 for 85.5 points before bucking off Drifter (Mike Miller/Torres Bros) in the championship round.

Joseph McConnel (Bloomfield, N.M.) ranked fourth after riding for 85 points in Round 1 on Two Stuff (Painted Pony Championship Rodeo) before bucking off The Original (Mike Miller/Torres Bros) in the championship round. McConnel will be taking home a check for $2,000 and 20 points toward world standings.

Paulo Ferreira Lima (Bezerros, Brazil) rounded out the Top 5 after he rode American Made (J Bar W Ranch) in Round 1 before eventually bucking off Sam (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls.) in the championship round. Lima earned 15 points toward the world finals and a check for $1,140.

The next stop on the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will be in Corpus Christi, Texas, for the Corpus Christi Chute Out presented by Frontier Communications on October 14 at the American Bank Center.

The 2017 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 28-30, leading into the PBR’s Built Ford Tough World Finals, Nov. 1-5 at T-Mobile Arena.
