Lane Wins Dayton Rumble

Dayton, Ohio – Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia) won the Dayton Rumble event Saturday night inside Wright State University’s Nutter Center

Lane was the only cowboy to earn two scores on the night. He rode Last One Standing (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) for 84.5 points in the first round and Drain The Swamp (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Heald Pro Bulls) for 84 points in the championship round. The victory gave Lane 120 points toward the world standings, and a spot at the Tacoma Invitational, presented by Cooper Tires, in Tacoma, Washington, on April 14-15.

Second place went to Troy Wilkinson (Upper Horton, NSW, Australia). Wilkinson bucked off in Round 1 and rode Roll Your Own (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve) for 87 points in the championship round. He earned $5,150 and 70 points toward the world standings.

Carlos Garcia (Hammondsport, New York) finished in third place with a score of 85 points. He earned $3,300 and 40 points toward the world standings.

Tied for fourth place were Daniel Tinsman (Farmland, Indiana) and Paul Knight (Goldthwaite, Texas). Each rider earned $1,570 and 17.5 points toward the world standings.

The Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will make two stops next weekend – March 16-17 in Wheeling, West Virginia, and March 17 in Fresno, California.
