Lee, Lasley Win TPD, BlueDEF Velocity Tour Titles

PUEBLO, Colo. – North Little Rock, Arkansas, native Lane Lasley picked up his first career Professional Bull Riders (PBR) BlueDEF Velocity Tour (BDVT) event win on Saturday, June 13, in Moline, Illinois.

Lasley was the only rider to go 2-for-2 in the event, with an 83-point ride in Round 1 and an 87.5-point ride in the championship round. Lasley finished with 167 points overall in the aggregate, taking home $7,900.00 as well as earning 80 points towards the world standings.

Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) was the leader going into the championship round with 87.5 points. He finished in second place with 50 world points along with a $4,700.00 pay check.

Mason Lowe (Exeter, Missouri) entered the championship round behind Davis after his 86.5-point ride in Round 1. Lowe finished in third place, earning 30 world points and a paycheck of $3,000.00.

Matt Triplett (Columbia Falls, Montana) and Reese Cates (Monticello, Arkansas), rounded out the Top 5. Triplett finished in fourth place with an 85.5-point effort to earn 20 world points along with $2,000.00 while Cates rode for 85 points to earn 15 points toward the standings and $1,140.00 with his fifth place finish.

The BlueDEF Velocity Tour will be in Bismarck, North Dakota, for the PBR Bull Riding Challenge at the Bismarck Civic Center on Friday and Saturday, June 19-20, an event that will see riders like Nathan Schaper (Grassy Butte, North Dakota), Stetson Lawrence (Williston, North Dakota) andGage Gay (Staley, North Carolina) as a few of the riders trying to earn those valuable world points.

Winners of each 2015 BDVT will be guaranteed a minimum of one opportunity to compete at a BFTS regular-season event in an attempt to win enough points to rank among the Top 35 and earn a spot on the elite tour. Thanks to the win in Moline, Lasley will compete at the Beau Rivage Casino Invitational brought to you locally by Sonic in Biloxi, Mississippi, on Aug. 7-8.

On the Touring Pro Division schedule, Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) riders took first and second place at the B&B Roust-A-Bout Invitational in Odessa, Texas, on June 13. No. 13 ranked Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas) earned the win off an 87-point ride in the championship round. He earned $4,451.22 along with 60 world points.

Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Oklahoma) and Josh Call (Mullen, Nebraska) finished in a tie for second place with 86 points each. They earned 25 points apiece with Dirteater taking home $2,718.30 and Call pocketing $2,820.24. Kolt Donaldson (Idabel, Oklahoma) finished in fourth place with a ride of 85 points. He took home $1,563.02 and earned 15 world points. Fifth place went to Edgar Durazo (Moctezuma, Mexico) with 84.5 points earning 5 world points and $978.59.

At the San Antonio TPD at Cowboys Dancehall on June 6, Chance Glocar (Harper, Virginia) was the only rider to record a score. He rode for 81.5 points to win $4,386.00 and collect 20 points towards the world standings.

The Touring Pro Division will be back in action on Wednesday and Thursday, June 24-25 in Williston, North Dakota, at the Upper Missouri Valley Fair.
