PUEBLO, Colo. – In 2013, Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas) was hot during the summer portion of the Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division with seven wins from May to August. This past weekend, he competed in Uvalde, Texas, and continued where he left off, finishing as the top rider at the Cactus Jack TPD event.

Lee, currently fifth in the PBR world standings, was in second place after two rounds of competition, but picked up 86.5 points in the short go to come away with 171.5 total points and $7,738.68.

Cooper Davis (Wharton, Texas) rode his first bull for 85 points and then tallied an additional 86-point ride in the short go to place second with 171 points and $5,246.90. Tyler Harr (Slovak, Arkansas) was next in line with 170.5 points for third place and a $4,092.18 payout.

Jarrod Craig (Hillsboro, Texas) and Sean Willingham (Summerville, Georgia) entered the short go a perfect 2-for-2, but failed to cover their bulls in the final round and finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

At the Swift Current Cody Snyder PBR Invitational in Canada, Cody Coverchuk (Meadow Lakes, Saskatchewan) was one of only two riders to cover his bull in the championship round as he came away with 87.5 points for the event win. Coverchuk drew Pop Evil and brought the crowd to its feet as the lone Saskatchewan rider. He knocked off a tough field of competitors, including the two-time defending Swift Current PBR champion Zane Lambert (Westbourne, Manitoba.).

Scott Schiffner (Strathmore, Alberta) was the only rider to make Coverchuk sweat as the two were separated by three points heading into the championship round. Schiffner was able to hold onto Kiss You for a 78.5-point ride, but it wasn’t enough to overtake Coverchuk as his combined scored placed him second overall. Ty Pozzobon (Merritt, British Columbia), currently ranked No. 24 in the world standings, recorded 86 points in the long go, helping him to third place and $1,628.01 in earnings.

On May 31, J.W. Harris (May, Texas), J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) and Lee will be several of the BFTS riders competing at the J.W. Hart PBR Challenge in Decatur, Texas. Harris and Mauney will be going head-to-head in a pseudo PRCA versus PBR winner-take-all $25,000 challenge on Shepherd Hills Tested and Asteroid, respectively. The event will be streamed exclusively on PBR LIVE. Fans can sign up here.

While on May 30-31 Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Oklahoma), rookie Gage Gay (Staley, North Carolina) and Brant Atwood (Decatur, Texas) will be at the Potash PBR Lima Invitational in Lima, Ohio.

Also on May 30-31, Matt Triplett (Columbia Falls, Montana), Harve Stewart (Stephenville, Texas) and Stetson Lawrence (Trenton, North Dakota) will be some of the current PBR riders at the Shane Proctor Invitational in Tonasket, Washington.
