Look out Texas, Here Comes Pendleton® Whisky
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is using the occasion of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas to announce a major 5-year sponsorship agreement with Pendleton® Whisky. They will be the presenting sponsor of Cowboy Corner, a popular venue located on the plaza of the AT&T Center where the general public can mingle with many of the Rodeo contestants and enjoy Pendleton® Whisky’s fine product.
Pendleton® Whisky was specifically created to celebrate the bold spirit of independence and hard-work ethic of the American cowboy and cowgirl. Each Pendleton® Whisky bottle prominently features the rodeo’s famous bucking horse symbol and “Let’er Buck®” slogan—making them an ideal fit for Cowboy Corner. Pendleton Whisky is also the Official Spirit of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
While Pendleton Whisky has been available in Texas for several years, their 5-year commitment to the San Antonio Rodeo sponsorship represents an aggressive step to build brand awareness in Central and South Texas. They are currently one of the fastest growing whisky brands in the nation.
Keith Martin, Executive Director and CEO of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo said, “We are so proud to have Pendleton Whisky as a sponsor of our event and we are excited about the great Texas welcome they and their quality product will receive here.”
“Ever since our first visit to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, my hope was that we would one day be able to be a sponsor. I am very excited that that day has come. We look forward to attending the 2017 event as a major sponsor,” said Ronald R. Dodge, president and CEO of Hood River Distillers, Inc. “We have a high degree of admiration for this award winning rodeo and look forward to a long-term partnership.”
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo takes place February 9-26, 2017. The 11X PRCA Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year, established in 1949, has grown to be one of the largest and most prestigious single events in the city with over 2 million visitors entering the grounds in 2016. The success of the organization is attributed to over 6,000 volunteers who give countless hours to the organization. With community, donor and volunteer support, the organization has donated over $171.4 million to the youth of Texas through scholarships, grants, endowments, auctions, a calf scramble program and show premiums.
